The variable popup remains reachable across the pointer move, allowing its edit icon to open the Website Variables editor.

How is it judged?

01 · Given
Restore the data and starting state.
On the Hoppscotch REST request page, the Website Variables environment is selected, its site variable resolves to example, and the request URL contains https://<<site>>.com.

02 · When
Perform the interaction.
The user hovers <<site>> to reveal its variable tooltip, moves the pointer to its edit control, and activates that control.

03 · Judge
Rationale: The tooltip exposes an editing action for the variable referenced in the request URL. Keeping that action reachable as the pointer moves toward it lets the user open the correct variable without losing the contextual control.
Require
The variable tooltip remains reachable while the pointer moves from the URL placeholder to its edit control, and activating that control opens the site variable in the Website Variables editor.
Allowed
  • The tooltip may reposition, extend its interactive hover area, or use a short dismissal delay while keeping the edit control reachable. Styling, value formatting, and edit-control iconography may vary.
